G.U.Y stands for Foreigner (ger—גר), Orphan (yetom—יָתוֹם) and Widow (almana—אַלְמָנָ֥ה).
The heart and soul of our organization is to help raise up willing Ethiopian Jewish arms to care for and appreciate Ethiopian orphans and widows including single moms with no means of support in raising their children.
A generous quantity of love and kindness is always available to begin the process of healing and recovery from overwhelming situations orphans and widows often experience beyond the need for food, clothing, shelter, medical attention, etc.
In partnership with other organizations, BOCA co-sponsors workshops and lectures to bring awareness about adoption and foster parenting to Ethiopian Jews communities, in Tel Aviv and elsewhere. In essence, BOCA is dedicated to finding ways to create a miracle for Ethiopian Jewish children without parents.
We believe that education is the key to change. BOCA supplies economically disadvantaged children with school bags or backpack, school supplies, etc.
